Meals

Because FCSE courses have moved online for summer 2020, students will not purchase a meal plan for the month of July.

Meal Plans for the Academic Year
Meal plans for the 2020-2021 academic year (after Freshman College concludes) are available by calling 706-542-7130 or by visiting UGA Dining Services.

Housing
Because courses are online for the month of July, there is no on campus residency requirement during FCSE. Participants in Freshman College will live in Russell Hall for the fall and spring semesters. You can learn more about University Housing here.

Housing Registration
Students must register for academic year housing on The Dawg House. As University Housing receives students accepted into Freshman College, students will see a Freshman College term appear on The Dawg House to search for roommates. Students are responsible for paying a $35 non-refundable registration fee for the academic year.

Searching for a Roommate
We recommend that you room with someone who is also participating in Freshman College, however; this year with FCSE courses being online for the month of July, we are granting a special exemption from this rule. Should you choose, you can room with someone who is not a FCSE participant.

Are you looking for a roommate? Once admitted, log on to The Dawg House and proceed through the Freshman College term. You will be able to search for other Freshman College participants. Create a group of up to three other students or join a group to have the opportunity to live together as roommates/suitemates in Russell Hall.

Notification
Information will be sent to your UGA email account about the housing selection process. Room selection will occur in mid-May. A housing contract will be sent to your UGA email address shortly after selecting a room. Students are only required to sign one contract that includes fall and spring semesters. Students under 18 will require a parent/guardian’s signature to complete the housing process.
