Each Freshman College student will enroll in UNIV 1103-S: Strategies and Life Skills Needed to Success, a service-learning course. Service-learning at the University of Georgia is the application of academic skills and knowledge to address a community need, issue, or problem and to enhance student learning.

UNIV 1103-S provides opportunities for students to acquire skills needed to seek and obtain a relevant career, engage in critical and creative thinking to make sound decisions and solve complex problems, and become effective learners throughout their lives.
